Description
The GDS Corp Protector12 System Controller is designed to provide power for and monitor signals from up to eight or twelve industry-standard 4-20mA devices, including all GDS Corp gas monitors, sample draw monitors and process monitors.
The Protector12 has either eight or twelve ESD-protected analog inputs that operate over the full range of 4-20mA devices. The calibrated value of each input is shown on the graphical LCD screen along with alarm and status information.
The Protector12 includes four dry-contract alarm relays with user-adjustable alarm settings that may be set to either latching or non-latching operation. When latched, the RESET / ESC button can be used to clear the latched alarm.
The Protector12 controller also includes an RS-485 serial MODBUS output that can allow remote PLCs or DCSs to monitor the input channels in real time.
When configured with an optional AC power supply, the Protector12 can supply up to 140 watts of external DC power for connected devices.
